I did the thing.

On being scared - and doing it anyway.

Dear Sparkler,

I did the thing.

Yesterday I launched my YouTube Channel.

I've wanted to be a YouTuber for years. YEARS!

And I kept waiting.

For the right time.

The right equipment.

The right hair day.
The right level of confidence.

Spoiler: none of those things arrived.

So I said fuck it.

I turned "one day" into "day one."

And now my first video is out in the world.

It's not perfect. It's almost certainly the worst video I'll ever make. But it exists.

And that means I can finally tick "launch YouTube channel" off my Fuck It List.

Be kind to me. Or don't. Either way, it's done.

So why YouTube?

Because I want to share what I know for free.

For years, people have stopped me at events or after talks asking for help.

How do I build my personal brand?
How do I get visible?
How do I make the leap?

And it's always frustrated me that I couldn't do more.

YouTube lets me do more.

I want to help women go from invisible to unmissable.
I want to help them achieve financial freedom.
I want to help them stop waiting for "one day" and start building their Fuck It List of bold action instead.

This is me living out the thing I keep telling other women to do: make more content. Fight the algorithm by being unmissable. Stop asking for permission and start taking up space.

What's coming next?

I'm leaning all the way into being a creator now.

  • YouTube: free videos on personal brand, visibility, AI tools, and the mindset shifts that actually move the needle
  • LinkedIn: hot takes and commentary
  • Newsletter: you're already here, hello!
  • Substack (coming soon): The Fuck It List, my unfiltered stories of building and living my own Fuck It List and helping others with theirs

Why am I doing this now?

Because we're living through the biggest moment of reinvention most of us will ever see.

AI is changing everything faster than we can keep up. Staying still is not an option. Tiny tweaks won't cut it. We need seismic shifts. We need to smash apart all the "shoulds" that are keeping us stuck and become the architects of what comes next.

I'm calling it the Reinvention Rebellion. And I'm taking it everywhere.

Every leader, creator, thinker, and maker needs to embrace reinvention right now. Including me. Including you.

So here I am. Imperfect. A bit terrified. Definitely not ready.

Doing it anyway.

Hello Sparkler, Right. Quick question. Have you ever spent ages crafting the "perfect" post, agonised over every word, made sure it was polished and professional and on-brand... and then watched it disappear into the void while some random person's messy, off-the-cuff thing goes viral? Yeah. Me too. For about thirty years. I've spent a hundred conversations telling other people how to build a personal brand. Be consistent. Be professional. Find your niche. Post on a schedule. And I did all of...

Hello Sparkler, You're doing the work. You're showing up. You're putting things out there. You're building something you believe in. And some days it feels like absolutely nobody is watching. I know that feeling. Intimately. So when I found out that Olivia Dean performed to four people in 2023, and then won a Grammy in 2026, I needed to understand how. Not the luck. Not the breaks. The actual mechanics of how someone goes from an empty room to the most commercially coveted artist in Britain...

Hello Sparkler, Ever waited to feel ready? Waited for someone to finally notice how brilliant you are? Built your entire sense of worth on what other people think of you? Yeah. Me too. So I did something slightly unhinged this week. I asked an AI to tell me the harsh truths that younger Nishma desperately needed to hear. Not the motivational poster version. The actual uncomfortable, slightly stinging, "oh god is that true about me?" version. And wow... it delivered. Some of it made me wince....
