β Dear Sparkler, β
Quick question. Have you ever bought a training course at 11pm on a Tuesday because you were feeling wobbly about whether you actually know what you're doing? β
Yeah. Me too. Thousands of pounds worth, actually.
β I wrote about it this week on Substack and it's probably the most honest thing I've put out there in a while. The confession of a woman who spent 30 years building brands for the biggest companies in the world, then walked away from Google and immediately forgot how to trust her own skills. β
The essay is called "I Spent a Fortune on Training Courses. Here's What Actually Worked." And the answer is annoyingly simple (newsflash: it wasn't the courses). β
I also dropped a new video this week that I'm genuinely proud of. It's the one I wish I'd been able to find when I was lying awake at 3am wondering if I was too old, too late, too mad to start again. β
It covers the three stages of reinvention: the fears before the leap, the leap itself (terrifying, liberating, both at once), and what happens on the other side. β Plus the stories of women like Trinny Woodall and Anne Boden who both started after 50 and built extraordinary things.
β If you're in that "should I, shouldn't I" space right now, or you know someone who is, this one's for them. β
And now for something practical: AI tools that actually help you show up
Speaking of things I wish I'd known sooner. If you caught my AI skills video (and if you haven't, go watch it after this), you'll know I've become properly obsessed with how AI can help you build a personal brand without losing your mind or your personality in the process. β
Most people are using AI wrong. They're asking ChatGPT to "write me a LinkedIn post" and getting back something that sounds like it was written by a middle manager having an out-of-body experience. Bland. Generic. Zero personality.
β But when you use it properly? It's like having a strategist, copywriter and content planner in your pocket. And you still sound like you.
β A few things I've been using that are genuinely making a difference:
β For LinkedIn specifically: Use AI to brainstorm hooks, not write the whole post. Give it your voice notes, your rough ideas, your half-formed thoughts, and let it help you structure them. You bring the story. AI brings the scaffolding. The result is 10x faster and still unmistakably you. There are also two specific AI tools that I use to help with creating for Linkedin - they are brilliant. Details about them in this essay, including discount codes to trial them.
β
β For content planning: Instead of staring at a blank page wondering what to post this week, use AI to map out a month of content in an hour. Feed it your core topics, your audience, your tone of voice, and let it generate angles you hadn't thought of. You'll still edit and refine. But you'll never start from zero again.
β For repurposing: One video can become five LinkedIn posts, three Instagram carousels, a newsletter section and a Substack essay. AI makes the repurposing fast. You make it good.
I've put together some of my favourite prompts and workflows in that essay on Substack. β If you're not over there yet, now's a good time to join. I recently shared a brilliant PDF download from Google's Gemini on the best prompts. It's a game-changer, I've been using it the last couple of weeks and cannot believe how much it's improving the output from my AI tools. ββ βSubscribe to Unmissable with Nishma on Substackβ
β β BTW - Don't worry, you're not losing this newsletter. All That Glitters isn't going anywhere. But the Substack is where I go deeper: longer essays, frameworks, the stuff that doesn't fit in an email. YouTube is where I get to share more of my frameworks, stories and ideas. β Here I will keep sharing the latest on Glittersphere events, Spotlight profiles and the best bits from my other channels.
β β P.S. If you're using AI to build your personal brand and want to 10x your LinkedIn performance, the AI skills video is genuinely worth 15 minutes of your time. The tools are changing fast and the people who figure this out now are going to have a massive head start. β βWatch the AI video β
β βBrilliant but invisible? β βInvisible β UNMISSABLE β Growthβ ββ I help ambitious people get seen, get heard, and get paid - by building personal brands that attract opportunities, clients and growth. β βUNMISSABLE = RESONANCE > REACH Powered by AI and Audacity

Hello Sparkler, Right. Quick question. Have you ever spent ages crafting the "perfect" post, agonised over every word, made sure it was polished and professional and on-brand... and then watched it disappear into the void while some random person's messy, off-the-cuff thing goes viral? Yeah. Me too. For about thirty years. I've spent a hundred conversations telling other people how to build a personal brand. Be consistent. Be professional. Find your niche. Post on a schedule. And I did all of...
Hello Sparkler, You're doing the work. You're showing up. You're putting things out there. You're building something you believe in. And some days it feels like absolutely nobody is watching. I know that feeling. Intimately. So when I found out that Olivia Dean performed to four people in 2023, and then won a Grammy in 2026, I needed to understand how. Not the luck. Not the breaks. The actual mechanics of how someone goes from an empty room to the most commercially coveted artist in Britain...
Hello Sparkler, Ever waited to feel ready? Waited for someone to finally notice how brilliant you are? Built your entire sense of worth on what other people think of you? Yeah. Me too. So I did something slightly unhinged this week. I asked an AI to tell me the harsh truths that younger Nishma desperately needed to hear. Not the motivational poster version. The actual uncomfortable, slightly stinging, "oh god is that true about me?" version. And wow... it delivered. Some of it made me wince....
